Army of One wants Gun Control.
CNN described the same event as a a march attended by “thousands.”
A slight discrepancy to say the least.
The WAPO reports some Newtown, Conn. residents joined “nearly 1,000 people” in a march on the National Mall on Saturday. Speakers at the march included Democrats Del. Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) and D.C. Mayor Vincent C. Gray.
CNN reported on the same march as having “thousands of demonstrators” rallying for “universal background checks,” a “reinstatement of the federal ban on military-style semi-automatic rifles,” and a “ban on the sale of high-capacity ammunition magazines.”
It is known that at some point in the rally, U.S. Education Secretary Arne Duncan addressed the crowd: “This is about responsibility, this is about gun safety, this is about fewer dead Americans, fewer dead children.”
What isn't known is whether he addressed “nearly 1,000 people” or “thousands.”
