Washington DC – -(Ammoland.com)- The day after U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry set forth a $4 billion plan to boost the Palestinian economy in exchange for concessions on Israeli/Palestinian peace talks, Palestinian Authority (PA) economic adviser Mohammad Mustafa said:

“The Palestinian leadership will not offer political concessions in exchange for economic benefits.”

According to The Times of Israel, Mustafa made it clear that the Palestinians’ priorities are political rather than economic. They refuse to curtail the “political framework” they are pursuing in exchange for appeasement money from the Obama administration.

The investment plan laid out on May 26 2013 would have been overseen by former British PM Tony Blair; according to Kerry, it could have “cut unemployment by almost two-thirds and [raised] average wages by 40%.” He described the plan as “groundbreaking,” saying it would “transform the fortunes of a future Palestinian state.”

Kerry has been trying to restart the Israeli/Palestinian peace talks during recent weeks but has found himself at an impasse; Palestinians demand Israel cease settlement activity first, while Israelis demand the PA drop its “preconditions” to negotiations.

In rejecting the $4 billion plan, the PA is saying its demands for the end of settlement activity still stand.

Lets keep the money at home. Stop paying for everyones problems. Let Isreal secure its borders, peace in the Mideast is NOT going to happen. They have been fighting over that sand since time began. If the rocket attacks continue, Isreal will take care of its own problem. Sooner or later, they will figure out its best to leave Isreal alone.

I’m sorry but aren’t we in the middle of a sequester? I find this f-ing ridiculous that we would even consider giving money to this country. Somehow our media or politicians or someone has made them out to be the victims. America needs to stand behind Israel, but keep it’s money here for now.

Israel has given back over 90% of the West Bank to the PA but the PA-controlled media and schools demand and the PA issued maps show ALL OF ISRAEL as under PA control. Israel has been offering to share the land with the so-called “palestinians” since 1948 and EVERY offer has been met with insane demands for complete return of all arabs to ALL OF ISRAEL. Plus the new PA state will be JEW-FREE. Additionally, Israel only blockades material into Hamas-run Gaza that can be used as weapons. Israel supervises the transfer of hundreds of truckloads of material to Gaza… Read more »

Good for the P.A. They shouldnt trust anything from this admin. If they truly cared about unemployment get israel to end its blockade of the Palistinians and 4 billion more US taxpayer money to benefit israel? What a waste. What is israel bringing to the table ? Probably nothing but demands to be given more of what others have.

Robersgt40; What? Are you Antisemitic? God gave the Jews this land NOT the PA. And for us to even consider bribing them with US money is an abomination! In the end there will be no PA in Jerusalem period. God soon will take them out.

There is no “peace process”. Israel wants land…all of it.
