Also, we take a close look an alarming trend; groups of Muslim immigrants attacking and beating American citizens who they deem to be unclean or infidels.  What are your legal rights and responsibilities when facing a group of attackers?

Green soldiers get training and when faced with an armed and motivated enemy use their weapons effectively. I understand that 90% of the soldiers in Viet Nam fired their weapons while only 25% of the combat soldiers did in WWII. The teacher isn’t supposed to be a Navy Seal. The teacher is supposed to be a distraction by being a threat sort of a speed bump until the SWAT team arrives. If a teacher takes out an intruder so much the better. By the way how many armed hunters have faced a sow grizzly with cubs and made it out?… Read more »

@Elizabeth Lankford 1. “You can train and train and give every teacher in Texas a pistol to “protect” the class but it’s not gonna help.” Using that logic, civilians should not have CHLs, cops should not be armed, etc because most (if not all) have never faced someone who is alive and shooting back. 2. “I am a gun owner and carry concealed at all times when it is legal – but this is a stupid idea.” If you’ve never faced someone who is alive and shooting back, then using your logic your CHL should be revoked. Take away the criminal’s fame and they will go away. The media is to blame for making them instant movie stars.

You can train and train and give every teacher in Texas a pistol to “protect” the class but it’s not gonna help. All the practice of shooting at a paper man does not prepare you to shoot at somebody who is a) actually alive and 2) shooting back. I am a gun owner and carry concealed at all times when it is legal – but this is a stupid idea. Maybe they should take the people off death row and let the teachers use them for practice.

For every American civilian attacked by a muslim Obam-ass should be charged with murder after the fact for bringing the SOB’s here and encouraging their immigration , not only unwanted , but much less preferred to all other illegals .

So this ‘article’ says…. “groups of Muslim immigrants attacking and beating American citizens who they deem to be unclean or infidels. What are your legal rights and responsibilities when facing a group of attackers?”

So where’s the article???

I’m also very much in favor of ALL TEACHERS being armed. We need to fight guns with guns, not with children! Currently, all our children and school staff are at great risk, because all gunmen know they are all defenseless. Obama is an idiot who wants only his own children safe….

I don’t live in Texas but I believe that is the way to go. Say thank you to Gov. Perry.

My son’s school district in Hunt, Texas authorized teachers to carry earlier this year before the rest of the state started to do so. There are conditions, of course, like a current CHL license and other training for the classroom. Only the senior admins and local sheriff will know who’s carrying. I’m fine with this – in fact I wish it were the norm.
