Ted Nugent: Self-Defense Vindicated by Zimmerman Verdict

Washington DC – -(Ammoland.com)- Rock-n-roll legend and gun rights advocate Ted Nugent says the “not guilty” verdict in the case against George Zimmerman vindicates “self-defense.”

Writing in Rare.us, Nugent walked through the events of the fateful night on which Trayvon Martin attacked Zimmerman.

He wrote of how the neighborhood “had been burglarized off and on for a time and the residents were very concerned for the safety.” Of how Zimmerman was part of what might or might not be officially labeled a “neighborhood watch,” but could certainly be described as “Americans watching out for each other and being good neighbors.”

He wrote of how Zimmerman saw what he believed to a “suspicious individual in suspicious circumstances” and called 911.

Nugent said the fact that Zimmerman called 911 demonstrates that he was not eager to attack or even engage the suspicious individual–this call was to allow the authorities to hopefully “intercept” the individual and determine exactly what is going on.

Suddenly the suspect –whom we now know to have been Martin– changes course and comes at Zimmerman. Within seconds Zimmerman is on the ground being “pummeled” about his face and head. The individual on top of Zimmerman is not a child, but a 17-year old young man who is in a rage.

In a position where continued beating could have been life threatening, Nugent says Zimmerman did “what anyone who wishes to live would do”–he reached for his concealed carry gun and fired “a single shot to neutralize the deadly force being wreaked upon him.”

For professional law enforcement who arrived upon the scene, the case was such a cut and dry matter of self-defense that they did not even hold Zimmerman on charges that night.

According to Nugent, this only became a case when race-baiters like Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson and President Barack Obama, among others,  overlooked Martin’s drug use, gangsta mentality, and his references to Zimmerman as a “creepy ass cracker,” and decided instead to paint Zimmerman a racist for shooting Martin–although the shooting happened in self-defense.

Fortunately, the Florida jury did not concur with Sharpton, Jackson, and Obama. And Nugent wrote, “[What Zimmerman did] is called self-defense. And it is the oldest, strongest, and most righteous instinct and God-given right known to man.”

If you want to talk about people beating the draft, then that is fine he will have to to live with it, but what he has done in the past years for this country I will give him an American citizen pass, not one of these people in this administration presently and the Clintons, Sharpton, Jesse jackass in almost every Democrat that’s out there, have never been in the military or have any idea what it is. But you people keep voting them in, the Democratic Party or should I say the new communist Democrat party is supposedly known to… Read more »

You all have got to be kidding… The man who deliberately shit himself and didn’t wash for 3 weeks so he could escape serving his country…he’s your hero? You are as delusional as he is. Talk to my brother who is the same age as your icon and DID serve on a Navy ship during the Vietnam War. Apparently none of you have actually read Mr. Nugent’s autobiographical account of how he “beat the draft”. Look it up. I would have more respect for him if he had simply gone to Canada. But he just crapped in his pants so… Read more »

Hello, cedup I grew up in the Motor City, I saw Ted countess times opening for other acts or the headline act in smaller clubs. The most noteworthy thing I brought back from those shows was his derisive, condescending attitude toward “stoners”. This was late ’60’s, early ’70’s, mind you. This man was absolutely “running against the wind” To be honest, I didn’t believe someone that cool could actually be sober, until much later. Same with the loincloths, Bowie knives, archery equipment, etc. He was proud to “eat only what he killed, and kill only what he ate.” Not standard… Read more »

Hay cedup, how many things have you done for this country? By the sound are you I would expect not too much, as for uncle Ted I respect the man he stands his ground he loves his country and yes he does play excellent music. Remember you are not required at this time or forced into doing something you don’t want to do, such as listen to his music if you do not like it, that’s called choice which is not going to be around very soon because of people like you. Stop playing the blame game and do something… Read more »

Too bad Nugent is NOT a rock legend, huh? More bad info. The one hit song was with a group called Amboy Dukes, he barely was part of the song. after that everything else is ZERO.ZERO Seeing this nudnick live once was enough for me, he SUCKS at music, and is a blowhard tough guy. With the tard camo clothes. His on stage antics with a bow and arrow, and his political BS, wears thin real fast on the one and never again live show I seen him at. Then ZZ Top came out and did some REAL musical entertainment.

May this serve as a reminder to those who would walk up to someone and start attacking them physically…It could be their last day on this earth if the other person has a firearm with the will to use it!
