Washington, DC – -(Ammoland.com)- “The Zimmerman not guilty jury verdict respects the right of self-defense and the right to use a firearm in self-defense,” gun law expert John M. Snyder said here today.

On Saturday, July 13, a jury of six women found George Zimmerman not guilty of murder and manslaughter charges in a high-profile slaying last year in Sanford, Florida.

“Hopefully, many states now will enact versions of Florida’s stand your ground law,” Snyder added.

Under the Sunshine State’s statute, a defendant does not have to prove he or she first tried to retreat before resorting to self-defense if and when charged with a crime because of the results of positive acts of self-defense.

“As Americans, we honor our Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms,” noted Snyder. “Let us preserve it and facilitate its operation.

“We need it.”

George Zimmerman’s attorneys won’t use “stand your ground” defense http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-201_162-57492488/george-zimmermans-attorneys-wont-use-stand-your-ground-defense/

People have not been paying attention have they? The stand your ground had nothing to do with the trial. It was a simple self-defense case. He was found not guilty because there was not enough proof that he was not attacked. The lawyer said before the trail even started that he was no going to use the stand your ground law.

I just read a piece from Monterey County, CA wherein notice was given that in that jurisdiction Mr. Zimmerman would have been convicted of something. The story line is that Florida has a “gun culture” and that is the only reason he was acquitted.
The Enlightened people of the PDRK “know” guns are bad so anyone using one has to be guilty of something, even if using it in defense of ones own life.

You can’t always avoid being jumped. Guns Save Life.

Thank you Barry H. Zero and Mr. Holder for yet another racial hyperbole diversion. The verdict was rendered.

All it takes is one punch from a criminal for you to be knocked unconscious, then stomped and robbed. There are videos all over the internet that show this. If Zimmerman didn’t have that gun he would have probably been killed or severely injured. It was the media and president that turned it into a race issue when it had nothing to do with race.
