Hunter Ed Launches New Alabama-Approved Online-Only Hunter Ed Course

Alabama –-(  Hunters who need to complete an Alabama hunter safety course before getting their hunting license can now get started on their official Hunter Ed training, which is approved by the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources.

The Alabama online hunter education course at is the only online hunter education course that features award-winning videos and is designed to be taken on any device, including mobile phones.

“The Alabama Hunter Ed course teaches the same state-approved content that is printed in the Today’s Hunter classroom hunter education manual, so students can expect the same high-quality education online,” said Steve Hall, executive director of the International Hunter Education Association-USA.

“The videos are a great addition, too. They engage students with opportunities to explore and select the best options for staying safe while hunting. This additional approach to learning is a great benefit to students.”

The course features Hunter Ed’s award-winning hunter safety videos that are designed to be fun to watch while presenting important safety information. These short videos cover safety topics such as tree stand hunting safety, firearms safety, hunting from a ground blind, effectiveness of blaze orange and more.

Students also can complete their Alabama hunter safety course on a smartphone, tablet, e-reader, laptop or internet TV. The course pages will automatically adjust to fit any device with no app required. Plus, students can log in and out of the course, and their progress will be saved. This allows students to study and complete the course at their own pace.

To complete the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources hunter education requirements, Alabama law requires anyone born on or after August 1, 1977, who purchases a hunting license to complete hunter education requirements.  Students must be at least 10 years old and an Alabama resident to take the Alabama Hunter’s Ed course.
