Biloxi, Mississippi – (AmmoLand) — With .22LR and 9mm ammunition still in short supply, Paul suggests numerous ways to continue practicing during the current ammo crisis. Don’t stop shooting. There are several ways to get valuable trigger time without breaking the bank. We’ll also hear about a Maryland Juvenile Court official who is seeking “crack down” on toy guns.

During part two of this week’s show we’ll take a close look at the upcoming Illinois Concealed Carry law and their infamous FOID card.  We’ll also consider a recent decision from New York City judge where she affirmed that the police have “No Special Duty” to protect the citizen as an individual.

Paul G. Markel has worn many hats during his lifetime. He has been a United States Marine, police officer, professional bodyguard, and small arms and tactics instructor. Markel has been writing professionally for law enforcement and firearms periodicals for nearly 20 years, and has hundreds of articles in print. A regular guest on nationally syndicated radio talk shows, Markel is a subject matter expert in firearms training and use of force.

Markel has been teaching safe and effective firearms handling to students, young and old, for decades and has also worked actively with 4H Shooting Sports programs. Markel holds numerous instructor certifications in multiple disciplines; nonetheless, he is, and will remain a dedicated Student of the Gun.

That the PD don’t have the duty to protect you as an individual was affirmed by the SCOTUS in a ’60s Washington DC rape case. This is not new, this is why we must protect ourselves.
