Colorado Recalls Prelude for 2014 Congressional Elections?

Washington DC – -(Ammoland.com)-  While the Colorado recalls were a wake-up call for state lawmakers around the country, what if they were also a precursor of what could be coming on the federal level in November 2014?

What if the grassroots passion of two districts in Colorado is indicative of what might be accomplished if concern for the 2nd Amendment drives voters to the polls next year?

Ever since the Tea Party steamrolled Democrats and moderate Republicans in the 2010 mid-term elections, conservatives and political onlookers have waited for the next big wave. Clearly, that did not show up for the 2012 elections, but since then gun control has been relentlessly pushed nationally in much the same way it was shoved down the throats of Coloradans earlier this year.

In the end, the totality of gun control, lawmakers not listening to their constituents, and a liberal agenda gone wild led to a historic recall in Colorado with equally historic results. In a classic David vs. Goliath scenario where the gun control proponents, the tone-deaf lawmakers, and the liberal agenda had six times more funding than the grassroots citizen-activist, the citizens still won.

As we approach 2014 we might want to learn the lessons of September 10, 2013. On that day in Colorado, “we the people” faced down the Obama/Bloomberg war chest and the DNC propaganda machine and came out victorious.

@Karl Gustav,
We’re pulling for ya’ll down in Texas! Keep it up! Cuomo is a crook, just like his old man! I’ll bet they own guns, in spite of their bodyguards, but they don’t want to talk about that to us little people. But, a lot of us can make a whole bunch of noise if we stick together.

First of all Congrats to the folks who busted their tail to get this done. Bad luck for me I live in the Vampire State, but, we have a few very dedicated groups going after the NYsafe?act AND unseat Cuomo. I wish MORE folks would do more than b…. & whine and put their money where their pie hole is. I’m a member of JFPO/NYSRPA/2AF/GOA/NAGR/NRA/NY2A/C4L I’m not rich, I am retired with a “Limited Income” as they say. Point being this; we lose our gun rights we lose EVERYTHING! Kick your friends/family into gear. Vote/Join/Donate!

I would love to see a recall here in WV. Sen joe Manchin needs to go. He claims to be a great sportsman and at the same time tries to restrict our 2nd amendment rights. I voted for him, now I will vote to get his sorry butt out of office.

This was a very small drop in as very large ocean of ignorance and not listening to ones consinutinats. The representatives have forgotten that they work for us, and are supposed to represent our interest and vote the way we tell them to on major political issues.The recall was not only a result of their failure to listen to what we, the voters had asked them not to do; Support the laws which restrict our 2nd amendment rights and in one way or another make all legal gun owners criminals. just for having a gun. But to add insult to… Read more »

I live in Colorado and supported this recall effort. At the same time, the liberal media continues to spin the recall in a negative light. Shame on them. Additionally, we must use this method for governors, and the rest of our elected officials including those mayors that seem to be blind to their constituents. Time to stand up and be counted! Hickenstupid is next right along with his butt buddies that have taken over our government!

If someone’s mind is firmly planted in what they believe in, Bloomberg can spend his last dime and that person still is not changed. If I see TV commercials on gun control, I change channels or cut the SOB off. Let the bastard blow all his money. It is a given that 2014 will be a moment in history and payback for the gun grabbing politicians who would not listen to voters. If you have noticed, the gun grabber are getting quite. It is getting close to 2014 and they are hoping that we forget and re-elect them, so they… Read more »
