Ronkonkoma, NY –-(Ammoland.com)- Long Island’s second amendment community website, Long IslandFirearms, reaches milestone one millionth post.

Long Island Firearms, New York’s preeminent firearms website, has recently reached a seven digit post count on its highly active community forum.

Despite being based in the heart of what is, or at least was, generally considered an anti-second amendment stronghold, the forum has accumulated this impressive post count in under six years- an average rate of about 2500 daily posts.

The website’s impressive growth is not limited to post count either. What started as a few range buddies coming together and forming a small online community in March of 2008, has absolutely exploded since its inception. To date, the forum has over 9,700 active members, and boasts two million visitors monthly. In addition to the forum, the website also provides free news, information, and even firearms safety training events for men, woman and youngsters looking to get into shooting sports.

The website’s community involvement doesn’t end there, either. Every year, Long Island Firearms participates in a number of charitable community events, including blood drives, and its annual coat drive during the winter season.

While these charities and programs are integral to the online community, Long Island Firearm’s true purpose is the preservation of second amendment rights. In response to Governor Cuomo’s so called “SAFE Act,” that seeks to prevent law abiding New Yorkers from owning defensive firearms, Long Island Firearms has organized bus trips and spread awareness for pro-second amendment protests at the state capitol in Albany, and right here on Long Island as well.

Long Island Firearms is an Long Island, NY based website that provides an online gathering place, as well as news and information, for Long Island’s many firearms enthusiasts. Since its creation in March 2008, Long Island Firearms has been dedicated to preserving second amendment rights for New Yorkers, and has maintained a highly active online forum community.
