Torrance, CA – -(Ammoland.com)- Celestron, the world leader in astronomical telescope manufacturing for more than 50 years, has now added to its line of spotting scopes with the new Regal M2 series.
With next-generation technology and superior performance, the Regal M2 series of scopes offer many features and performance only found in higher priced models.
The Regal M2 series spotting scopes have advanced features such as extra low dispersion (ED) glass, which provides truer color with increased resolution and contrast. Bak-4 prisms are incorporated, as well as Celestron’s proprietary XLT coatings on all lens surfaces, allowing for the ultimate viewing experience with the brightest, sharpest image possible. All models have an upgraded dual-focus mechanism that not only allows for course and fine focus, but brings the target into focus 2X faster than previous Regal models.
Three models are included in the Regal M2 series. The compact 65ED, with an 65mm objective lens comes with a 16-48x magnification zoom eyepiece and weighs only 46.8 ounces. The Regal 65ED is a great spotting scope for weight-/size-conscious users who still want top performance. Next in the line is the 80ED, which incorporates an 80mm Objective lens and comes with a 20-60x zoom eyepiece. The Regal 80ED is great for everything from bird watching to game scouting. The third model is the 100ED, which has an industry-leading 100mm objective and comes with a 22-67x zoom eyepiece. The Regal 100ED offers the best possible resolution and clarity that can only be achieved with a larger objective while still only weighing 73.5 oz.
All three scopes come in an angled eyepiece configuration that allows for more flexible use in the field, both when sitting and standing. The included eyepieces have a twist-up adjustable ocular, which offers up to 20mm of eye relief. For all-weather performance the entire Regal M2 line is nitrogen-filled, and all the scopes are waterproof and fog proof.
All include a digiscoping adapter system and perform admirably when used with a camera. They incorporate a rotating collar and three-position mounting shoe, which allows for balanced tripod mounting. All Regal M2 models are compatible with 1.25″ astronomy eyepieces allowing the use of a wide range of specialty eyepieces.
