About United Gun Owners of New York State

On January 15, 2013 New York State adopted the Secure Ammunition and firearms Enforcement Act (NY SAFE ACT) as a legislative priority of Governor Andrew Cuomo. This ACT was pushed thru in the night and caught gun owners by surprise. Gun owners were livid, and were not sure what to do about it. Pro-gun Organizations, Legislators, and Attorney’s across the state immediately stated petitions and class action lawsuits. A couple of local gun enthusiasts were sitting around discussing this and decided that someone had to try and organize all the groups in the state so that gun owners could fight back with a united front. They formed the United Gun Owners of NYS. The organization is made up of all volunteers. There is no President, no treasury, and has no paid members. Anyone who would like to volunteer to help can sign up at one of our monthly meetings. ALL gun owners and families are invited. Visit: https://www.unitedgunownersofnewyorkstate.com/
