I am Pulling for George Zimmerman

Arizona – -(Ammoland.com)-  I have been observing and writing about the George Zimmerman's digital lynching from very early on.

As I monitor and write about self defense stories, I caught an early version of the events in  Sanford, Florida.  The story said that a black teenager had been shot in self defense.  A picture was included.   Reading the story, I concluded that the picture was that of the black teenager that had been shot.  I was wrong.   The picture was of George Zimmerman.

It was an easy mistake to make.   As with a large and increasing number of Americans, George has a mixed race background.  One of his great grandfathers was black, and he has a somewhat dark complexion.   The early story said that George had a concealed carry permit.    That placed the statistics on his side.  People who go to the trouble of obtaining concealed carry weapon (CCW) permits, are extremely law abiding.   They are many times more law abiding than the average population, and commit murder much less often than police officers.

I was surprised at the institutional  corruption that the old media displayed to demonize George, falsely accuse him of racism, and even to digitally modify images and audio files to convict him in the public mind.

I was not surprised that a jury came up with a not guilty verdict.   The facts of the case were never in doubt.

That is why the police did not arrest George the night of the shooting or afterward until political pressure was brought to bear.  If you want to read the best synopsis of the case that I have found, I highly recommend this series of articles by Massad Ayoob.

It appears that white on black crime is so rare, that if you cannot find the examples you need for political purposes, you have to create it where it does not exist.  Those who thrive on stoking the fires of racial animosity have invested heavily in the demonization of George Zimmerman.  He has become a marked man.  I think that George has done remarkable well considering the nasty surprises that an uncaring  reality has flung at him.

Try to put yourself in George Zimmerman's shoes.   Here you have an ordinary young man…  Well OK, perhaps somewhat extraordinary in his concern for other people and his attempts to make his neighborhood into a better place.., but no more than in the top two percent of the population in those traits.

He is going about his business, attempting to reduce the nasty crime problem in his neighborhood, when he is attacked by a young black man who presents a serious threat to his life.  Holding off longer than most would under the circumstances, he finally fires a single shot to protect his life.   His attacker dies as a result.   This is very bad, but the alternative was much worse.  His life has changed forever, but he does not yet understand to what extent this is true.

The usual post shooting trauma, from the nightmares, the self doubt, the things that decent people go through when they are forced to take a life in self defense, all happen.  But that is only the beginning.

George cooperates with the police.  The police investigate, as they should, and find that there is no crime to be charged.   The criminal perpetrator, Trayvon Martin, who attacked George, is already dead, so it serves no purpose to charge him with a crime.

Then the political operatives smell an opportunity.  If shopped just right to the old media, this could become a white man killing a black kid.  It is just what the old media needs to gin up black enthusiasm for a failing black president.

So, George is demonized, he receives numerous death threats, the whole force of the establishment comes down on him, the sacrificial goat to maintain the illusion of rampant white racism in America.

Only… George does not cooperate.  He fights back.  He maintains his innocence.  He finds ways to get his story out, in spite of the severe disadvantages placed upon him by the old media and the political establishment.   Not only does he not crumble under the digital lynching that is done to him, he prevails.

But those who push racial animosity do not give up.  His life will never be the same again.   Under the intense pressure of the personal attacks, death threats, and media scrutiny, his marriage crumbles.   It happens.   It has happened to a great many.   As part of that process, his wife plays the “domestic violence” card that has become ubiquitous in divorce proceedings.   But George is not a quitter.   He does not accept the false charges.   His wife recants.  The charges are dropped.  George prevails.

George finds solace in the arms of a physically attractive woman.   She tries to shop her attachment to the old media, who are not willing to pay enough.  George discovers that physical attractiveness does not guarantee a golden character.   George makes a wise decision to break off the relationship.   The woman  tries to play the “domestic violence” card again.  George has learned, and is wiser.  He calls the police himself.   Later, the girlfriend recants in a notarized statement to George's lawyer.   The charges are dropped and George gets his guns back.   George prevails again.

He may well need his guns.   Due to the old media assault, a third of the country think that George is a crazed killer.  The New Black Panthers who posted a reward for George, dead or alive, have never been prosecuted.  Maybe that has something to do with a Department of Justice, run by Eric Holder,

George is just an ordinary guy.   An ordinary guy who is being put through a blast furnace of false accusations, politically motivated charges, and an establishment that wants him in jail, or dead.

I would be proud to have George Zimmerman as my neighbor.   He has shown that he is the kind of man that will not stand by and let injustice happen.  He has shown that he is someone who can keep his head under extraordinary pressure.  In a society where the media had any integrity, he would be lauded as a pillar of the community.

George, keep your head down and your guns at hand.   You are the underdog, the “little guy”, but you have prevailed.   I am pulling for you.   Millions are pulling for you.  May the evil (yes, false accusations and manipulating evidence to create hate is *evil*) media organizations have to pay for your future security and welfare.

Stay alive George, stay alive.   Do not give the purveyors of hate the satisfaction of your destruction.  Your survival is a victory for us all.

    1. The jury’s verdict was not produced by following the law or court’s instructions. The people who continue to smear Martin and ignore the facts are almost as bad as Zimmerman for celebrating his killing.

Zimmerman will be arrested and convicted of hurting someone because his supporters celebrate unnecessary killing.

    2. You gun nuts have gone WAY too far…If people like the fool who bought that poor excuse for a 4th graders painting for 100,000 weren’t around, George Zimmerman would be shining shoes for a living. The nitwits who send Zimmerman money are just delaying the inevitable…sooner or later, he’ll rough up another woman or shoot another innocent person and he won’t be able to skate the way he has so far. George Zimmerman is a white O.J. Simpson. They got O.J. and they’ll get George Zimmerman too.

    3. According to the prosecutor’s star witness, Martin made it back to his father’s mistress’s home and Zimmerman was nowhere in sight. Since when does a frightened little boy ‘running for his life’ turn around and go back looking for the boogey man?

The words of alternate juror E54:
“…At that point Trayvon said he had lost the man and he was at where his father was staying – he was at that place. At the same time as that happening George Zimmerman had only just gotten out of his car – about 25, 30 seconds so he was still up at the “T,” and Trayvon, according to Jeantel’s testimony, would have been down at the other end of the buildings, at that point. So somehow those two got back together at the top of the “T.” We don’t know how that happened, but in all likelihood, and in my mind, if George Zimmerman had walked down to where Trayvon was, then they both walked back up to the “T,” so that would have implied that Trayvon had followed George Zimmerman back up. If George Zimmerman didn’t walk down there, then Trayvon walked back up to the “T” somehow…”

    4. While I don’t agree that guns should be as ubiquitous as TV sets in American homes or carried by every Tom, Dick and Jane in public, Dean Weingarten is spot on about the contrived false narrative and media manipulation of this story.

There was never a case against Zimmerman, who should have been held up as an exemplar of a dedicated public servant who ignores racial differences and has a life-long history of helping the underdog.

    5. Rachael & jr must be people who work in the w/h. This administration is at full speed trying to bring all of us to a socialist state. They have a major problem. We have weapons. So now the give always to all the leo’s dept of heavy vehicles, heavy body armor, the bullet shortage was the first sign. We have to get this guy out of there and all the go along’s with it. I just hope we still have some cajones to do the work

    6. It cost the tax payers of my State(Florida)to take George to trial for defending himself from a drug using young thug. If i would have been in the same situation, I would have shot the creep too.

    7. Those that hate Zimmerman, like the two previous comments, follow the same pattern of baseless accusation and smear tactics. A few minutes of Google easily shows the false and/or distorted nature of what they claim.

Obama put two dozen FBI agents after Zimmerman, digging through his past and every business or personal association looking for dirt, and found NOTHING.

NOTHING the first comment claims is true. The cousin was 6 and Zimmerman was 8 years old. He was reprimanded by the judge in the bail hearing, for NOT SPEAKING UP. Most pathetic to anyone who has listened to the dispatch recording which is available in its entirety online, Zimmerman does not ignore the dispatcher, he stops at the top of the T and watches as Trayvon runs out of his sight. Four minutes later after he ends the call to police Trayvon returns to where Zimmerman is waiting for police to arrive and attacks and beats Zimmerman. If he had pursued Trayvon the crime scene would be a football field away closer to where Trayvon was hiding until the call to police ended.

Second comment no better. I have followed the case closely and never heard of the names or events. Zimmerman has a LONG history of fighting against racism, and zero evidence he ever made a racist act. Pure smear.

Many conservative sites have detailed research on the case and media lies, but so do some hard core liberal sites like http://www.talkleft.com take a look for a factual discussion of how Zimmerman has been falsely attacked.

    8. Great summation. I agree wholeheartedly. What was brought to bear against this man in the name of political aspiration was an injustice. Social media came through and so did our justice system.

    9. He has a history of violence and should not, IMO, have a gun. Just ask Daniel Osmun, a person George became enraged with on the road. Mr. Osmun thought George was going to attack him. Ask the witness Jonathan Manalo about Zimmerman pulling a firearm out on UPS driver. Ask his own MOTHER, whom he got in an argument with, cut off her electricity and locked the box. Please, do some research before saying the things you say. He has a history of racism and violence and has NO business carrying a gun. He told all kinds of lies on the stand (for example, his wife was not even there that night, having gotten in a fight and went to stay with her dad), but he lied. And where are all these black children he mentored? Notice not a one has come forward? He was angry that night and well – you know the story, but there is nothing good about George Zimmerman. The ONLY thing that will be good is when he is behind bars, and I hope no one else has to get hurt or killed before it happens.

    10. Ordinary young man? George was fired for throwing a woman spraining her ankle. He has allegations of sexual molestation from a family member, he has three domestic abuse reports requiring police, he was sent to court ordered anger management class, he has difficulty telling the truth, lied to the court bail judge, he has vile racist statements on his Myspace page, and he ignored operator recommendations and HOA rules against pursuit that ended in the death of a teenager. Does that sound ordinary to anyone?

I hope he does move next door to you, good luck with that.
