Washington DC – -( UPDATE 12:43 PM PST: McCain has been censured by a voice vote at the Arizona Republican Party State Committeemen meeting. This is his second censure by the Arizona GOP this month and the sixth of Arizona’s fifteen counties to censure McCain.

ORIGINAL STORY: A group of Arizona GOP Committeemen are pushing for a censure of Senator John McCain (R-AZ) at the mandatory meeting of Arizona Republican Party State Committeemen on January 25th 2014.

The meeting is being held in Phoenix and is expected to last all day, perhaps even late into the night.

Republican chairman Timothy Schwartz (Dist. 30) is sponsoring the censure, which follows the passage of a censure of McCain by Maricopa County Republicans on January 11, 2014.

The Maricopa County Republican censure cited a list of grievances, including McCain’s “long and terrible record of drafting, co-sponsoring and voting for legislation best associated with liberal Democrats, such as Amnesty, funding for ObamaCare, the debt ceiling, liberal nominees, [and] assaults on the Constitution and 2nd amendment.”

The censure is not on the docket for the January 25th mandatory meeting but will be offered as a “Resolution to Censure John McCain” from the floor.

Regarding the NRA: good luck with that. The NRA is a joke, especially given the amount of money they burn through compared to their actual effect. Several politicians have publicly stated that Gun Owners of America has influenced the debate more than any other group. If you support freedom with regard to firearms, please do your research and consider supporting GOA…

McCain was an exemplary POW. He hasn’t done squat that has been notable since. Do you think he cares about being censored by the Repubs? No. He’s never running again so like all lame ducks he does what he damn well pleases and to hell with his constituents (who by the way were stupid enough to re-elect him last time).

Instead of censuring, they should listen to John McCain — and to Bob Dole, as well. Nobody is right if everybody is wrong.

Time for McCain to hang up his spurs. He does more harm than good.

McShame is a traitor to his oath and will be held accountable at Nuremberg II. Many saw the photo this weekend taken at Davos of McShame cavorting with the likes of anti-American, neo-Marxist, and Nazi collaborator George Soros.

Congress cannot take action because Reid won’t allow any votes on anything Congress sends to the Senate. The NRA is a powerful lobby but they are not a branch of government.

Why did the AZ folks re-elect this clown. I remember during the presidential campaign 2008 at a gathering a Black man went down on his knees and begged McCain to stop playing footsy with the bam and start exposing what we now of him. Made me sick of my stomach. Newt Gingrich would have been an excellent leader

We need to demand the NRA stop Obama’s executive orders expanding gun control laws. The NRA has been playing games long enough.

NO more compromise.

The NRA can demand congress takes action. So why arent they taking action now?
