Fairfax, VA — ( One commercial you won’t see during the 2014 Super Bowl is an ad by gun manufacturer Daniel Defense.

The spot, about a Marine Corps veteran who returns home and is determined to defend his home and family the same way he defended his country, was rejected by the NFL.

Marty Daniel, president and chief executive officer of Daniel Defense, throws down the challenge flag.

Take the money they were going to spend an the commercial and donate it to an organization to buy politicians. That’s what goes on anyway but they use words like lobbyists. Take off the gloves and lets get this done. The other side has no problem openly stating their objectives. Buy enough “influence” and bills don’t pass. Just buy the votes, Daniel doesn’t need to advertise.

I will NOT watch any NFL games ever again. I’ ll go to the firing range instead and shoot NFL logo targets.


Classical education has been pushed aside and many people today don’t really learn history. In ancient Rome there was a Latin term “Panem et Circenses” that translates to “Bread and Circuses”. The Roman elites figured all they had to do was provide food and entertainment in the arenas to “dumb down” the population as the Empire declined. Hollywood and the NFL are the modern equivalent of “Panem et Circenses”.

The NFL is a government sanctioned and protected monopoly. It is a privately owned organization that can pick and choose who it wants to let advertise during it’s broadcasts. It even controls if games can be broadcast or not as we found out recently during this seasons play off in Green Bay. They held the public hostage and would broadcast the game until all the tickets were sold. Despite receiving funding from the tax payers for stadium expansion. I won’t watch the Stuper Bowl this year or ever again if necessary. All gun owners should boycott it this year to see if things change.
