Washington DC – -(Ammoland.com)-  Reacting to a Democrat-led proposal to repeal “stand your ground” in South Carolina, Spartanburg County Sheriff Chuck Wright said it won't happen on his watch.

According to GoUpstate.com, the repeal was introduced by state representative Harold Mitchell (D-Spartanburg), chairman of the Legislative Black Caucus.

Mitchell's bill “would limit the ability to use deadly force against someone illegally and forcibly entering a home, business, or occupied vehicle.” He said such a change is necessary because, “we were taught in Sunday School to retreat.”

Sheriff Wright said the idea of taking away or limiting self-defense is “absolutely ridiculous” and he views the proposed appeal “as a violation of Second Amendment rights.”

Wright plans to personally call all legislators to encourage them to oppose Mitchell's bill.

Buck, well said. What is it with these legislative black caucuses across the country? It’s not like only whites can use the defense. It’s almost like they are admitting that the young black male population is responsible for the violent crimes, especially against whites, and so they don’t want people to defend themselves. Problem is, crime happens to the black community too and the defense can protect everyone.

I think that it is time that us Christians stand up and put to rest all of the libtard misquoting of the Holy Bible. We need to make a New American Standard Bible that better explains the Lord’s word to America, in American English. We all know that Jesus was a warrior. We know that Jesus would not stand around and let heretics like the Clintons and the Obamas take away our God given rights, like freedom of religion, and the right to protect our families. God gave us those rights, not some half breed from Africa. We need to… Read more »

Would Rep Mitchell expect his wife or teenage daughter(s) (if he has any) to ‘retreat’ out a second story window to avoid being beaten, raped, tortured and then killed while he gets to watch because the home invader(s) beat and tied him up for their enjoyment?

Mitchell’s bill “would limit the ability to use deadly force against someone illegally and forcibly entering a home, business, or occupied vehicle.” He said such a change is necessary because, “we were taught in Sunday School to retreat.”

His ” SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHERS ” are WRONG , Christ said to his apostles in the garden , if you have a cloak , sell it and buy a sword . When are these whacko faux Christians going to start teaching the bible and not their limited intelligence . PS : I am a gun carrying CHRISTIAN , and am proud to announce it .
