Ilion, NY – -(Ammoland.com)- At least 105 jobs are lost at Remington Arms in Ilion, the union’s president confirmed to NewsChannel 2 on Monday afternoon.

The union met with employees on Monday afternoon.

In May, the company announced that it was relocating 80 jobs from Ilion to Huntsville, Alabama. The jobs were relocated, but not the employees.

The closure of six Remington facilities was also announced in May. The Ilion facility turns 200 years old in 2016 and is the country’s oldest gun manufacturer.

The unintended consequence of a governmental action. Wonder if any of those 105 people voted democratic??

Maybe Remington will celebrate 200 years by finishing their exit from NY. Let the state give out the severance pay – they are responsible for the loss of jobs.

Unfortunate the could not move the workers too.

Perhaps they can find work later when the new facility is geared up at the old Chrysler plant site.

Remington needs to move the whole sh*taree down here to Texas !
