Brownells sponsored event set for September 27-28, 2014 at Lead Farm Range in Versailles, Missouri to establish true national amateur and junior 3 Gun Champions.
Versaillas, MO –-(Ammoland.com)- America’s Amateur and Junior 3-Gun shooters will once again compete for national titles and extensive prizes at the 2nd Annual Brownells U.S. 3-Gun Amateur and Junior National Championships scheduled for the Lead Farm Range outside Versailles, Missouri, September 27-28, 2014.
This event, sponsored by Brownells is the first 3-Gun match to establish a true national amateur and junior champion in 5 divisions and 3 classes including a Youth division.
“Our match mission and sole purpose of the Brownells US 3-Gun Amateur and National Championships is to support and recognize 3-Gun competitors that are not sponsored professionals”, says Ken Flood, Match Director.
“These Amateur and Junior shooters make up the majority of competitors attending major matches yet rarely have a chance at winning. Now they will have their own championship match”.
The Brownells U.S. 3-Gun Amateur and Junior National Championships will employ the Lewis Class system of scoring where competitors are ranked and separated by total scores- splitting the field in 3 classes and 5 divisions, thereby ensuring a level playing field. Junior shooters will have their own championship division using the same scoring system.
Aside from the Amateur National Champion plaque- competitors will vie for significant product prizes donated by firearms industry manufacturers and distributed equally allowing competitors to win top awards usually reserved for top pro shooters.
“Amateur shooters are the brand evangelists for the products they use on the range and extremely important customers for our match and prize sponsors”, adds Flood. “Our competitors are big purchase influencers and extremely loyal to companies that support their sport”.
The course of fire will be both challenging and fun with an overall design that has the amateur and youth shooter in mind. Built by an experienced team of multi and 3 gun course designers, the Brownells U.S. 3-Gun Amateur and Junior National Championships will include a total of 9 stages built to fully test the handgun, shotgun and rifle skills of competitors.
Competitor slots are still available in each division. Amateur and youth shooters can sign up on line at www.amateur3gunnationals.
