Washington DC – -(Ammoland.com)-  When Douglasville, Georgia’s  Bundy Cobb went to the polls for early voting he was asked to remove his “NRA Instructor” hat before casting his vote. He complied, but says his “right to express himself” was “infringed.”

Cobb is the second voter inside a week who was asked to remove a NRA hat. Another man was asked to remove his hat because another voter was “offended” by it.

According to My Fox Atlanta, Douglas County Board of Elections supervisor Laurie Fulton claims the county’s position on NRA hats is based on legal precedent.

Fulton said:

The courts have found that anything that suggests [or is] associated with the NRA, in many people’s perceptions, is associated with the Republican Party. So with an overabundance of caution, Mr. Cobb was asked to remove the hat so that no one could interpret that we were playing any favoritism toward one party over the other.

AGREED!

Gary

I DON’T KNOW HOW MANY TIMES I’VE ASKED PEOPLE TO TAKE OFF THERE HAT DURING THE PLAYING OF THE NATL. ANTHEM, SO WHY IN THE WORLD WOULD WEARING OF THE NRA HAT AT THE POOLS BE UNAPPRECIATED. THAT PERSON NEEDS TO GET A LIFE !!!!!!!

Me

“overabundance of caution” = fear

oldshooter

The election official was unable to find ANY court decision that connects the NRA with any political party, as was I, when I tried to research it. This is pure BS, although the “official” certainly a Democrat, may well believe it to be true.

ray hampton

if you want my cap then take it off of my head. and someone will SUE

John Carr

You will pry my NRA hat from my cold dead hands.

Mike

He should have asked the requester to remove his offending face first 😀

Dr. Strangelove

I wonder how many union hats were removed because they represent the Democrat Party? None, you gotta problem wit’ dat?

Robert

My HAT Stays ON !

Hoosier

I would have told the requester that they were attempting to violate my civil rights, and those kind of trials are long and very costly.

Eric

I would tell the individual if you dont like move to china and stfu.

RDNK

There is no way in hell I would had removed my NRA cap ! The offended voter just dont have to look at it ! If that offended voter got pissed off about that they would have a coronary if they knew how I was about to vote !

terry

I don’t understand why he complied with the unconstitutional request to remove his hat. I would be offended if I was ask to remove my NRA hat. So two offenses of equal and opposite value cancel each other out.

askeptic

Too bad he didn’t have a NAACP cap to substitute.

Janek

But nothing was done last midterm election cycle when ‘Black Panthers’ intimidated voters in Philadelphia.

TSgt B

THAT will change this time around.

Bama Bill

Last election they had “Obama” painted on the walls, and were all wearing obama shirts! We all know all blacks and hispanics vote democrat. I find that “Offensive”, but don’t ask that they can’t vote! Especially when they are voting repeatedly, illegally, and in some cases dozens of times. Philadelphia proves that.
