Mr. Gruber, recognizing your intellectual superiority, and noting those of us who are just stupid Americans (with Masters and Doctorate degrees), i invite your happy liberal-ass to spend some time in Texas. It is bigger than a democrat or republican party problem. The problem is that the system is broken and we need more options besides voting in which ever party buys their way into elections.

Government relies on ignorant pothead and single mom voters to keep on voting in bigger government more taxes. Nothing like finding out you can’t retire because your property tax doubles every 8 years . Oh we can separate property and school taxes so the voter tax cap only applies to the property part of the tax and government can double the taxes.
