FAIRFAX Va. – -(Ammoland.com)- The National Rifle Association’s top firearms experts are returning to Outdoor Channel for a brand new season of NRA Gun Gurus starting Wednesday, December 31 2014 at 7:00 PM ET/4:00 PM PT.
NRA Gun Gurus, presented by Henry Repeating Arms, is hosted by NRA Museums Director Jim Supica and Senior Curator Philip Schreier, two of the most renowned firearms experts in the world. Filmed in front of a live studio audience, Jim and Phil explore the fascinating stories behind famous firearms, travel to historic locations and events, and interview prominent names in the industry.
“We have added so much to this exciting new season of NRA Gun Gurus,” said NRA Museums Director Jim Supica. “Phil and I travel everywhere from the original Springfield Armory to a Gatling gun shoot, interview guests ranging from the head of a major firearms manufacturer to editors of popular gun magazines, and highlight some of the most amazing to bizarre firearms in history.”
Each episode will also find Jim and Phil at the NRA Proving Grounds where they will demonstrate the mechanics of historic guns before loading and firing them to show off their firepower.
“Despite being in the gun business for 30 plus years and being somewhat of a firearms history student myself, with each episode of NRA Gun Gurus I learn something new from Phil and Jim,” said Anthony Imperato, President of Henry Repeating Arms. “Their encyclopedic knowledge of firearms and history, combined with their wit and energy, make for a very entertaining television program.”

About Henry Repeating Arms
Henry Repeating Arms is one of the country’s leading rifle manufacturers. Their legendary name dates back to 1860 when Benjamin Tyler Henry invented and patented the first practical repeating rifle during the Civil War. It became known as the “gun you could load on Sunday and shoot all week long.” Henry rifles went on to play a significant role in the frontier days of the American West and soon became one of the most legendary, respected and sought after rifles in the history of firearms. President Lincoln’s Henry hangs in The Smithsonian and has become a national treasure. The company’s manufacturing facilities are in Bayonne, NJ and Rice Lake, WI.
