South Dakota’s Elk Management Plan Still Available for Review

Pierre, SD -( Earlier this month, the South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks’ (GFP) Division of Wildlife released the draft five-year elk management plan with a request for comments to be submitted by Jan. 5, 2015, however, that deadline has now been extended to Feb. 6, 2015.

“This comprehensive plan is important to many hunters and ranchers and we want to ensure that everyone interested in it has ample opportunity to comment on the future of elk management in South Dakota,” state Tom Kirschenmann, GFP chief of terrestrial resources.
