Nashville, TN -(Ammoland.com)- The Union Sportsmen’s Alliance (USA) is pleased to announce that Ty Brown has joined the staff as the Conservation Manager to head projects crucial to the USA’s conservation mission.

The USA’s conservation efforts focus on conserving critical wildlife habitats, restoring America’s parks, improving public access to the outdoors and educating youth about the outdoors. The USA’s unique approach to conservation through its Work Boots on the Ground program utilizes the expert trade skills volunteered by union laborers.

Work Boots on the Ground works closely with federal, state and local agencies and other conservation groups to provide manpower needed to complete critical projects that may otherwise go undone.

“Since we launched USA’s Work Boots on the Ground program in 2010, it has been managed by various staff members who also had responsibilities within other departments of the organization,” said USA Executive Director Fred Myers. “With the growth and interest we’ve seen in the program, we felt it was time for a dedicated Conservation Manager. We are thrilled to have Ty Brown on board and believe his passion for conservation and the outdoors combined with is networking skills will take Work Boots on the Ground to the next level.”

As Conservation Manager, Brown is responsible for facilitating all aspects of the organization’s conservation efforts from identifying, organizing and executing conservation projects to participating in fundraising events. A graduate of Mississippi State University, Brown is an avid outdoorsman and a seasoned volunteer.

“Outdoors is where my family and I spent a lot of my childhood. The outdoors was a tool used to teach me how to survive some of life’s curves,” said Brown. “Hunting, fishing, camping, and hiking molded me into the person I am today.”

Brown’s expertise in sales and marketing have provided him with the people skills needed to relate to USA members on a united level. These abilities will play a large role in promoting the USA’S conservation mission, yet, it was his passion for volunteer work that drew him to the USA.

“Having someone dedicated to the conservation management position will have a tremendous impact on the USA’s conservation efforts,” explained Brown. “As Conservation Manager, I will be able to commit fully to uniting the union community through conservation efforts to preserve North America’s outdoor heritage.”

In his new position, Brown plans to institute new processes that will help further develop the USA’s Work Boots on the Ground program; form new partnerships with government agencies and conservation organizations; and implement more youth events to advocate the message that youth are the future of conservation.
