Mountaineer Food Bank Receives $75,000 Donation From 2011 One Shot Deer Hunt

South Charleston, WV -(Ammoland.com)- West Virginia Division of Natural Resources Director Frank Jezioro will present the Mountaineer Food Bank and the Hunters Helping the Hungry program with a check for funds raised during the eighth annual Governor’s One Shot Whitetail Hunt, which was held Oct. 24-26.

Also in attendance will be officials from the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources, which administers the Hunters Helping the Hungry program, and members of the One Shot Committee, which organizes the event each year. The Governor’s One Shot event is sponsored by WVDNR and the One Shot Committee.

Private individuals and businesses donate money for the opportunity to participate in guided antlerless deer hunts on private property near Stonewall Resort State Park in Lewis County.

The ceremony will take place at noon Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2014, at Mountaineer Food Bank, 484 Enterprise Drive, Gassaway.
