Young Wyatt Schearer Goes after His First Bull Elk in NM on Shoot Straight TV

Edgefield, SC -( This week on Shoot Straight Wyatt Schearer at age 11 goes after his first bull elk with Van Hale’s Trophy Outfitters.

After drawing a New Mexico youth elk tag through the licensing program the Schearer’s head to the Southwest US in pursuit of bull elk. Wyatt uses a custom Bergara rifle in 300 Win. Mag topped with a Konus Pro scope as they are not sure what type of shot he might have.

The bulls are at the tail end of the rut as they hike for miles after a bull for Wyatt. Longtime guide and family friend Brad Ziegler guided Wyatt into range on a nice bull. Watch to see what happens when they close the distance getting Wyatt a shot he has been waiting for.
