Texas -(Ammoland.com)-Beginning and avid birders, school groups, boy and girl scouts, park managers, nature centers, naturalists, companies, organizations, and neighborhood groups are all invited to take part in this exciting and fun event from any region in Texas.
The event runs April 15 through May 15, 2015 and there are many different categories to choose from: you can bird for one day in a 17-foot spot in a park or your backyard, a half-day event, a full Big Day of birding, or even a weeklong category traveling the entire state!
Find all tournament details, tips from previous teams, rules, registration form, participation categories, and additional information online now! All registered participants will also receive special event t-shirts with this year’s artwork, donated by the well-known artist Gerald Sneed. Participating is the only way to receive these great shirts, so be sure to sign your team up now.
Registration fees and sponsorship dollars go toward Conservation Grants for birding, nature tourism, and habitat restoration and enhancement projects throughout Texas. Some winning teams will also help select which projects will be funded. The more teams that register, the more funds we can award.
Visit www.birdingclassic.org and register a team now. The registration deadline is April 1st.
We look forward to you joining the fun at Texas’ statewide Great Texas Birding Classic.
