USA –-(Ammoland.com)- Somewhere, everyday in the USA, 2100+ people use a gun for self defense, to stop a crime or save the lives of themselves or their family.

“We believe that the American public deserve to understand that on the average, guns save 2,191 lives and are used to thwart crimes every day,” says Alan Gottlieb of the Second Amendment Foundation

Most times you won’t see these tales on the news as it does not fit the main stream media’s story line of “Guns and Gun Owners are Bad“.

This is just one of those stories;

A homeowner in Tomball, Texas was asleep in his house when a pair of armed criminals kicked in the front door. The homeowner awoke, retrieved a gun and went to investigate.

The homeowner encountered the intruders while at the top of the home’s stairs, and fired at them. The home invaders returned fire, but eventually fled the scene. Police believe no one was injured during the incident.

Between the homeowner and intruders, at least 30 shots were fired. The amount of firepower required to repel this home invasion illustrates the dangers to law abiding citizens posed by arbitrary restrictions on magazine capacity.

weapon stash in every room- check
home protection at arms reach, glock 19, with fifty rnd. drum.
more home protection within seconds reach, ar, with —rnds. lets just say, more than enough.
and if im not dead, and the cowards decide to run
18in. 12ga. double hidden within reach with rock salt for a nice parting gift.
I know, the double is just overkill.

30 shots broken down into who fired what among between at least two but three armed participants. Oh a shotgun would have been more handy in home defense then a highly inaccurate handgun.

Mike the Limey

Handguns are only as inaccurate as their shooter, the same as shotguns. So a bad or stressed shooter is going to miss the same with a shotgun & have less shots available too.

WOW! I’ll be documenting this in my TTS & you should to. Retaining stories like this for future use to justifying why you choose to use deadly force is HUGE. Being able to give actual real-world incidents can save you from costly civil actions afterwords.
