Washington DC – -(Ammoland.com)-  Domino’s Pizza’s ban on delivery drivers possessing guns for self-defense is infamous.

It’s been reported by NRANews and The Truth About Guns, among others.

And now we can report that a 22-year-old Domino’s Pizza delivery woman has been raped and robbed in Antioch, California.

According to SFGate.com, the driver “arrived at a home on the 2800 block of Bluebell Circle” to deliver a pizza at 11:20 am on February 8 2015, only to be met by an armed 17-year-old who forced her to drive to a second location — where he sexually assaulted her. He then forced her to drive him back to the original address, where he robbed her and “fled from the car on foot.”

The delivery woman drove back to the Domino’s restaurant and police were called.

Domino’s spokesman Tim McIntyre said Domino’s executives are “shocked and horrified by what happened.” He said the company “couldn’t conceive of something like this happening, especially on a Sunday morning.”

Note to Mr. McIntyre and Domino’s pizza executives: Crime happens every day of the week. And criminals love to strike victims who’ve been rendered defenseless by asinine gun free policies.

I stay out of gun free zones & business that don’t allow their employees to defend themselves. The list of places is longer then I wish to type, but it includes Dominoes, Walgreens, Jack in the Box & Chili’s. Where do you find the most violent crime, right, liberal states. It has been proven time & time again that the more guns, the less violent crime.

The simple issue is that it is cheaper for the company to deal with dead drivers than to deal with the potential liability of armed drivers. Their concern is that the quality of people they hire for drivers is not sufficiently high to be trusted with handguns and they fear that drivers with guns will create a negative image of the company. Therefore, deliver at your own personal risk. You may die, but at least we’ll look good while you do.

When are these drivers going to stand up to corporate and say enough. This policy will only bring more tragic encounters to the drivers. Maybe if the drivers started to refuse to deliver to crime prone areas, corporate heads would reconsider this dangerous policy.

I would like to see the drivers all walk off the job for say a couple of days and make the managers do the driving instead and see what happens, maybe when a few managers get robbed and injured then they will do something about it.

My best wishes to the victim(s) of these criminals and the “Business” leaders who are Blind to the same criminals.
This report just adds to the list of companies I will no longer do business with.
The real harm, unfortunately, is to the employees who are just trying to earn an honest wage while remaining safe on the job.
