Washington DC – -(Ammoland.com)- On Sunday, MSNBC aired Melissa Harris-Perry’s interview of Attorney General Eric Holder and he said the “single failure” of his tenure as AG was the failure to secure gun control.

In the interview, anti gun reporter Harris-Perry looked at Holder and said, “You once said the worst day in office was the day that you had to walk through the bloodied aftermath” following the heinous attack on Sandy Hook Elementary. She said, “Children were slaughtered in their classrooms and we have not made any meaningful progress on changing the access to guns in this country. Are we a nation of cowards when it comes to guns?”

Holder responded:

Well, I’ll say this, [walking through the school] was the worst day I had as Attorney General. It is, I think the single failure that I point to in my time as Attorney General, that I was not able to… convince Congress to really follow the will of the American people — which was to enact meaningful, reasonable, gun safety measures. The gun lobby simply won.

Holder went to say he does not believe America is a “nation of cowards,” but he does believe “members of Congress need to have a little more backbone and stand up to what is a distinct minority, even within… the NRA.”

He did not address the resounding defeat Americans dealt to gun control and gun control candidates during the 2014 midterm elections. In one fell swoop they took the Senate away from Democrats, increased the Republican majority in the House and expanded the number of pro-gun governors across the country.

The pompous AG got it all wrong, he did not want gun control, he wanted to ban all firearms from citizens.

His biggest failure is all the DOJ involved scandals since Fast and Furious.

Holder, your nothing more than a bar room thug, bully and criminal! You think kissing another mans a$$ for personal gain is is better than having your own self respect! Your a liar and a murderer and we are not done with you no matter how many jobs you quit hiding from the truth !!! You will pay for your gun running fiasco and the murder of the border patrol officer!! You are the lowest form of scum and pure black trash !!!

If he’d only failed at so many other things he succeeded at doing. I’m glad he failed at “gun confiscation” since that’s the only “control” he sees as effective. For government, not for the people.

Actually ‘worst day’ was August 13th, 2012 when the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Oversight and Government Reforms filed a civil lawsuit seeking to force Holder to hand over subpoenaed documents relating to his Justice Department’s response to BATFE’s disastrous “Fast and Furious” operation. That was the follow-up to Holder being found in Contempt of Congress on June 28th, 2012 when he failed to turn over the documents then. Come to think of it, he had a lot of ‘bad days’. LOL

ok, i’ll try again. eric holder = gun running to Mexican drug cartels to ‘bump up the number’ of u.s. guns found at crime scenes along our purposely left open border. meanwhile, obi-won was prepping for his 1st gun grab and making speeches about how most drug war guns (90%+) were coming from the u.s. it was only when it came to light that the real percentage was closer to 10% +/- that they ordered this f.f. op. drug cartels don’t really care for most of our single shot weapons. fully auto is how they roll. drug dealers actually crossed… Read more »

single biggest failure was not convincing congress to pass some more gun control? give me a break. this is the same perv who refused to give congress (rep. issa) access to the files telling the American people exactly why he and his buds felt the need to sell thousands of assault weapons to the murderous drug cartels, as in ‘fast & furious’. never mind the hundreds/thousands of innocents killed by said weapons, including Brian Terry, an American border guard trying to do his job. and never mind that this p.o.s. never bothered to apologize to B.T.’s family. btw,, this waste… Read more »

The lying POS still hasn’t released all of the records just the ones that weren’t so damming. It was their sole purpose to make this ruse an excuse for more “gun control.” There was never any intention of catching any cartel members just a made for TV reason to demand “gun control.” It is a shame that the American (most of them anyway) people do not know what a lying bunch of POS members the current administration is assembled of. The culpability of the media in this cover up is sickening. They are supposed to report then news not create… Read more »

The NRA didn’t win, the people won. And if he is looking to point out one overwhelming failure, it should be his confirmation as the AG, because after that, the failures accumulated exponentially.
