IALEFI 2015 Annual Training Conference May 17 – 22 in West Palm Beach, Florida

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office hosts the International Association of Law Enforcement Firearms Instructors Annual Training Conference with exhibitions, seminars and guest speaker Col. Danny McKnight.

Gilford, N.H. (Ammoland.com) – The International Association of Law Enforcement Firearms Instructors  (IALEFI) will hold their Annual Training Conference (ATC), hosted by the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office, in West Palm Beach, Florida, May 17 – 22, 2015.

The conference provides members with an opportunity to attend seminars on the latest subjects of interest to law enforcement firearms instructors. ATK and GLOCK are the premium sponsors for this year’s event.

On Monday, May 18 attendees will have an opportunity to hear guest speaker, Col. Danny McKnight speak on his career defending America. Col. McKnight is the former Commander of the 75th Ranger Regiment assigned to Task Force Ranger in Mogadishu, Somalia and a 28.5-year veteran of the U.S. Army Rangers.

Exhibitors and range exhibitors will showcase a variety of firearms, accessories and gear. Vendor opportunities and corporate sponsorships are still available. Attendees can sign up for one of the nine armorer courses from GLOCK, Bushmaster, Springfield- Armory, SIG Sauer, Anderson Manufacturing, FNH USA, Benelli, Ruger and Beretta.
Anderson Manufacturing is donating eight M4 platforms in a Rifle Giveaway to participants of #35.235 AR-15 Builder / Armorer Course.

Selected participants will receive in advance of the class, an M4 lower, which will be brought to the class at the ATC, and program instructors will provide the remainder of the required parts to build a fully functional Anderson Manufacturing M4 rifle. Upon assembly completion and test firing, the participants will be certified as armorers for three years, as well as returning to their respective agency with a complete functional rifle.

Anderson Manufacturing’s generosity will aid an individual officer or law enforcement agency that does not have the financial resources to purchase a weapon on their own. Individuals or agencies who have a specific need of the weapon should submit a request to IALEFI by April 3, 2015, for consideration to the program.

Monday, May 18, IALEFI will also host the 2015 Memorial Match to commemorate fallen officers while providing attendees with an opportunity to test their skill set against others in their own age class. I hope to be able to go this time it’s always something that stops me can’t wait to go. It’s been since the late seventies since I’ve been and that one was in st Augustine fl and my department was the host.
