Oregon -(Ammoland.com)- Turkey hunting season will be here soon. ODFW is hosting several workshops (March 22 in Tualatin, April 4 in Tygh Valley) to get newcomers ready for the season.

“Turkey hunting is open for six weeks (April 15-May 31) and provides a great opportunity to get outdoors in the spring,” said Mark Newell, ODFW outdoor skills coordinator. “These workshops can give you the techniques to be ready for the season.”

Improved reproduction rates in 2013 and a mild winter this year indicate 2014 could be a good hunting season for turkeys. The season is open statewide. More about turkey hunting
