PROVO, Utah –-(Ammoland.com)- Action Target will be exhibiting at the International Law Enforcement Educators and Trainers Association (ILEETA) conference that is held April 20-25 at the Westin Chicago North Shore in Wheeling, IL.
In addition to exhibiting, Action Target will have a mobile shooting range at the conference available for use to vendors and attendees. Throughout the conference several manufacturers will be using the range to show off their latest products. Among these will be Glock demonstrating the new G43, and Smith & Wesson demonstrating the M&P product line.
This mobile range is housed in a 53 foot long trailer and was built for Tri-County Tactical in 2014. The lead trainer for Tri-County Tactical, Kurt Newman, was aware of the training needs across many police departments and law enforcement agencies, but also realized the tight budget constraints of these same agencies. Knowing what they wanted to accomplish, Tri-County Tactical requested a mobile shooting range with ballistic containment and advanced training capabilities beyond what had developed as the standard for mobile shooting ranges.
Action Target designed and built an advanced shooting range contained within a 53 foot semi-trailer completely armored in AR500 steel. The range includes advanced target retrievers, a custom air filtration system and a custom rubber berm trap for bullet containment and recycling. The trailer also utilizes an onboard diesel generator for untethered power allowing it to be used virtually anywhere.
The safety of the shooter and anyone outside the range was paramount in the construction process. A great amount of resources were devoted to ensure the shooting range could be used safely in any location by anyone from the novice to expert shooter. This dynamic system will be available for use at the ILEETA conference.
