MINNETONKA, MN; (Ammoland.Com) Melissa Bachman was born and raised into a hunting family; she took that love and shaped it into her career as the host of Winchester Deadly Passion. On this week’s show, Melissa takes her dad coyote hunting in the Sandhills of Nebraska, her mom bowhunting for antelope in Montana and her brother bear hunting in Alaska. It’s what you do in hunting families – spend time outside together. Tune in to Winchester Deadly Passion, on Sportsman Channel Sunday, April 26 at 11:30 a.m. ET.

In the Bachman clan, everyone hunts. Dad and mom along with big sister Melissa and brother all partake in the highs and lows of the hunt.

“My mom and dad took my brother and I everywhere with them hunting, so it is no surprise that as I grew up, I knew I wanted to make hunting my living,” said Bachman. “We would prepare the game caught for Sunday dinners and I learned at an early age how the outdoors can provide organic – and delicious – meals.”

This episode takes you the viewer on hunts across the country with Melissa and her family. The Sandhills of Nebraska play host to Melissa’s dad and brother with guide Scott Kuhn of Deer Meadows Outfitters as they chase the wily coyote. These dogs of the prairie are extremely difficult to hunt, but a thrill nonetheless. Then, Melissa and her mom pack it up and head over to Montana for an early season antelope archery hunt. The two sweat it out in a blind with mother’s new Mathews Jewel bow at the ready. Later, Melissa and brother hop a plane to hunt black bear on Prince of Wales Island in Alaska. Alaska is still called “The Last Frontier” with much of the state as wild today as it was the day the Stampeders were in hot pursuit of gold during the Klondike Gold Rush of 1897. Needless to say, Melissa’s brother is in for a trip he will never forget.
