9th Annual Consumer Sweepstakes is Stocked with Daily Outdoor Giveaways Throughout April
Today, Outdoor Channel launched its ninth annual WHAT GETS YOU OUTDOORS? sweepstakes, which runs throughout the entire month of April. Formerly called “Spring Fever,” the sweepstakes leverages traditional, digital and social media to encourage consumers to enter for a chance to win daily outdoor gear and prizes, plus a shot at the grand prize – an Ascend brand prize package that includes kayaks, camping gear, men’s and women’s apparel valued at $7,500, in addition to a $7,500 shopping spree at a local Bass Pro Shops – all presented by title sponsor, Bass Pro Shops.
Outdoor Channel is engaging consumers through cross-channel TV spots and via its digital and social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, to drive participation. The multi-platform campaign directs consumers to the dedicated WHAT GETS YOU OUTDOORS? microsite to enter the sweepstakes.
Consumers are able to view the daily prize offerings from participating sponsor K&N, along with prize sponsors: Bushnell, Browning Trail Cameras, Primos Hunting, Frogg Toggs and ORCA Coolers. Prizes up for grabs include: K&N prize packs; Frog Toggs clothing; Bushnell Legend Ultra HD 20-60x 80mm Spotting Scope; GoPro cameras; a Weber Spirit E-210 Gas Grill; and much more. Consumers are encouraged to enter every day for the chance to win dozens of prizes valued at nearly $35,000.
Designed to drum up excitement for enthusiasts that have been eagerly awaiting the chance to head outdoors for fishing or turkey season, WHAT GETS YOU OUTDOORS? is also meant to fuel local ad sales efforts by generating viewer engagement and added audience interest, as well as drive new affiliate opportunities. Last year alone, more than 54 million subscribers were represented from participating affiliates. As a result, more than 175,000 consumers enrolled in the sweepstakes.
