STI Firearms – Texas Born and Bred

STI International Guns

(AmmoLand.com) From the 1980’s when STI founder, Virgil Tripp, first started handcrafting competition 1911 pistols to the present day, STI guns has been building firearms in Georgetown, Texas.

STI International was incorporated in 1989 and continues to produce custom quality guns at an affordable price. STI was the first to design and introduce the 2011 pistol, a double stack design based on the time tested 1911 platform that continues to dominate competitive shooting events around the world

In addition to finished firearms, STI also provides parts for gunsmiths who want to build their own guns. Using EDM and CNC machines and precision grinding equipment, they are able to supply fitted slide/frames or short blocks, barrels, triggers, sights, grips, magazines and other small parts to assemble a complete firearm.

STI firearms are currently handcrafted by certified gunsmiths and go through over 30 quality checks before they leave the building. Many of the Employee Owners shoot either competitively or recreationally and understand what it takes to build a pistol that will perform flawlessly time after time under the rigors of competition. Every gun that leaves the factory is backed by a lifetime warranty.

“We have big plans over the coming months to increase production and add a number of exciting new products to our lineup,” said Jens Krogh, Director of Sales and Marketing for STI. “STI International is proud to be a Texas based company with a worldwide sales network.”

My son currently serving as an AGR in the Texas National Guard lost the set screw on the rear Heiner sight of his 2011 Tactical 5.0. Could I come by tomorrow May 18th and you provide me with one?
