Napa, Ca. (Ammoland.com) – American Gunsmithing Institute (AGI), producers of the most authoritative Gunsmithing DVD courses, is pleased to offer M1A owners a new Technical Manual & Armorer’s Course on the design, function and repair of the M1A rifle with renowned armorer and international military firearms expert John Bush.

“The M1A is a powerful gun with a rich history. We’re glad that John Bush was able to help us create this comprehensive course. We really feel that it will help any gun lover to truly know, appreciate and be able to repair this fine rifle,” said Gene Kelly, president and founder of American Gunsmithing Institute.

M1A owners can learn step-by-step how these rifles are designed, how they function and how to disassemble and reassemble them, clean and lube the rifle, as well as how to perform common repairs. Bush will also go over how the lock-up, feeding/extraction/ejection cycle, gas and fire control systems work. In addition, Bush discusses the differences between National Match guns and standards. Students will also learn the evolution of the M-14/M1A starting with M1 Garand all the way through to the present day.

    1. Mr.You are the spittin’ image of my father. I look at your picture and am not sure someone has used a picture of my father. God speed in your life.

    2. I carried the M-14 in the Army and competed with the Springfield M1A and became a Distinguished Rifleman with it. I know how to correctly set up a National Match M1A and how to improve the standard guns. But this little sample video of this guy’s demo told me a couple things I did not know so I suspect that this entire program might be a very good thing for those who have this rifle and who could use the extra knowledge on how they work and how they can be improved on. And in the event of national problems, the .308 caliber M1A is many times more potent than the 5.56 AR-15 for penetration into autos, houses and cover and as our troops have discovered in the Middle East (and in Vietnam), one hit from the .308 puts them down quick where it may (and I say may) take several from the 5.56–especially when the enemy is high on dope, as they are many times–artificial courage.
