DeKalb, Illinois –-(Ammoland.com)- It’s a one man show in the latest edition of the AR-15 Podcast. Reed Snyder brings you Episode 124, part 2 of an installment series on building an AR-15 from scratch. Part one focused on parts for assembling the lower half of the rifle, specifically the receiver, fire control group, buffer system, stock, and grip. This week, the show focuses on the actual assembly of the lower receiver.
Previously, the show featured a build series from a basic overview level. This time, much more of the detents and pins are covered in detail for first time or novice builders. With more detail, the show will span more episodes to focus on the minutiae of building a rifle. One of the more formidable challenges for the beginner is the lower parts kit. Reed takes you through his preferred order of assembly with the lower parts, and shares some hard earned wisdom from his own past builds. Once complete, we move on to the buffer assembly that includes the tube, spring, and the locking mechanisms that keep it all in place.
Tune in to Episode 125 as Reed, J.W., and Anthony continue walking listeners through the build process from scratch!
