Houston, TX -(Ammoland.com)- Team Comp-Tac‘s Gordon Carrell has achieved a baker’s dozen this year with his win of the Stock Service Pistol Division at the 2015 Comp-Tac Republic of Texas IDPA State Championship this May 23-24 in Cresson, Texas.
“This year the Republic of Texas match was extremely challenging with the rain and flooding happening here in Texas. Starting, stopping and all movement had to be taken with care to avoid slipping in the mud. Overall the staff did a fantastic job keeping the match moving with all of the weather. Knowing that I can rely on my gear in all weather gave me one less thing to think about,” explained Gordon Carrell who in addition to be the general manager of Comp-Tac is supported by Apex Tactical Specialties, Armadillo Concealment, Smith and Wesson and Warren Tactical Sights.
As the title sponsor of the championship, Comp-Tac staff participation extended beyond the competition itself.
“The Republic of Texas means a lot to us as a Texas-based company. We’re proud to attend and support this match, and the thriving shooting community here in the Lone Star State that has always supported Comp-Tac and provided us with invaluable insight and feedback on the kinds of holsters and features today’s competition and concealed carry shooters demand,” commented Gregg Garrett president and owner of Comp-Tac.
Next up for Team Comp-Tac, Carrell and Rogers will compete in the USPSA Double Tap Championship in Wichita Falls, Tex. June 12-14.
