Fairfax, VA -(Ammoland.com)- Today, Assembly Bill 487 passed the Assembly Judiciary Committee with an amendment to add additional sponsors.

AB 487 will now head to the Assembly floor where it will await consideration.

Please contact your Assembly members today and politely urge them to SUPPORT AB 487.

As previously reported, AB 487 is an emergency measure which would expand areas where concealed carry permit holders can lawfully carry to university campuses and includes provisions to allow for a firearm to be stored in an occupied or locked motor vehicle on a school campus. Sponsors of AB 487 include: Assemblymen James Oscarson (R-36),Jim Wheeler (R-39), Derek Armstrong (R-21), Chris Edwards (R-19), David Gardner (R-9), Randy Kirner (R-26), John Moore (R-8), Phillip O'Neill (R-40), Stephen Silberkraus (R-29), Lynn Stewart (R-22), Glenn Trowbridge (R-37), and Assemblywomen Jill Dickman (R-31), Victoria Dooling (R-41), Victoria Seaman (R-34), Robin Titus (R-38), and Melissa Woodbury (R-23).

It is important that you contact your Assembly Members and politely urge them to SUPPORT Assembly Bill 487.
