Florida – -(Ammoland.com)- Since Florida Carry was formed in 2011 we have been highly successful in having thousands of illegal anti-gun “GunBuster” signs removed at public facilities of state agencies, parks, nature preserves, college/university parking lots, and county/city buildings.

Just today, the Florida Department of Health removed an illegal “No Firearms” sign from its public health facility in Bay County. We were able to have this sign taken down because one of our members took the time to report it to us.

We need your help to get these signs all taken down so that the 1.4 million concealed carry licensees of our state will not have their right to bear arms infringed upon by these illegal regulatory measures.

Helping is quite simple.

While you are out running errands, or if you have some time to be proactive and go check the doors and signs at local government places… Take a moment to snap a picture of the sign, note the address, write down who the controlling government agency is, and email it all to us at: [email protected]

We have found these illegal signs in places such as parks, city halls, local libraries, state offices, county tax offices, fairgrounds, and even public beaches.

Don’t bother with offices of any Federal Government agencies such as the Social Security Administration, Military Bases, and U.S. Post Offices. Also skip “prohibited places” like Police Departments, Airport Terminals, Courthouses, Seaports, Schools, etc… We’re also not currently looking for private businesses.

Once you find these illegal signs and alert us, we will deal with them. Jurisdictions that have not been contacted by Florida Carry before will be given opportunity to come in to compliance with the law that prohibits these anti-Second Amendment signs. Those who have been warned before will likely find themselves explaining their illegal infringement of your rights to a Judge.

We also need your help to fund our legal action against bureaucrats who would see you disarmed. If you are not already a member, please join Florida Carry. If you are, please donate today so we can keep defending your rights in the courts and the legislature.

Florida Carry has filed multiple lawsuits and amicus briefs just this year to defend your right to bear arms.

The Second Amendment is under attack. Whether a sportsman, collector, competitive shooter, recreational shooter, or self-defense advocate, your right to keep and bear arms is worth fighting for.

Sincerely,

Sean Caranna

Florida Carry, Inc.

About:
Florida Carry is a non-profit, non-partisan, grassroots organization dedicated to advancing the fundamental civil right of all Floridians to keep and bear arms for self defense as guaranteed by the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution and Article I Section 8 of the Florida Constitution. Florida Carry, Inc. was organized by a group of Florida gun rights activists in order to better coordinate activities, effectively lobby the state legislature, and to provide a legal entity capable of filing suit to demand compliance with state and federal law. Florida Carry stands only to represent our members and the over 6 million gun owners of Florida. We are not beholden to any national organization’s agenda that may compromise that mission.

Florida Carry works tirelessly toward repealing and striking down ill-conceived gun control laws that have been proven to provide safe havens to criminals and be deadly to law abiding citizens.

I ccw i ignore some signs. DIDNT SEE IT. Other places like the PO, football stadium, or at a school i lock it in the truck..
I’ll leave anywhere if management would ask politely.
Judged by 12 is better than getting carried by 6.

There is a VERY important topic missing and a law which needs to be changed. The signs may not matter but even if you carry legally onto a property you can be asked to leave for any reason the owner chooses. Example: Your weapon is concealed but someone sees an imprint and thinks you have a gun. They can tell you to leave and not give a reason. They do not have to mention your gun at all. If you don’t leave, you can be tresspassed and if you are legally carrying a gun it somehow becomes illegal and you… Read more »
