New website connects recreational anglers to their legislators to advocate for better public access and fisheries management
Washington, DC -(AmmoLand.com)- The Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Partnership (TRCP) applauds the recent launch of the new Bass Anglers for Saltwater Conservation online advocacy system, which allows fishing enthusiasts to write, call, or tweet their legislators in a few easy steps.
The initiative was spearheaded by Bass Anglers Sportsman Society (B.A.S.S.) and a growing coalition that includes the TRCP.
“Bass Anglers for Saltwater Conservation shares TRCP’s mission of unifying sportsmen across the country to create positive change for conservation in Washington,” says Whit Fosburgh, president and CEO of the Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Partnership. “We encourage sportsmen everywhere to use this tool to make their voices heard and ensure that the American tradition of good access to recreational fishing can continue.”
Bass Anglers for Saltwater Conservation provides a simple, easy-to-use tool for anglers to speak up for new fisheries management policies that enhance recreational fishing and maximize its conservation and economic benefits. By registering at bassforsalt.com, fishing enthusiasts can quickly identify their legislators, and either automatically contact them with a letter or tweet or receive basic talking points to use on a phone call to their lawmaker. The coalition will also send action alerts on the policy battles moving through our nation’s capital.
