Fairfax, VA -(Ammoland.com)- On June 2, 2015, the North Carolina State House of Representatives voted not to concur with the Senate committee substitute of House Bill 640 by a vote of 110-5.
The NRA applauds the representatives for rejecting the Senate’s version of the Sunday hunting provision in HB 640 that would prohibit hunting with firearms on private property before noon on Sundays. It is the right of every property owner to allow hunting on their property all day on Sundays during hunting season, if they so choose.
The bill now awaits action by the Conference Committee, where appointed members from the House and Senate will negotiate a compromise on final bill language to be voted on again by both chambers.
