SOTG logoBiloxi, Mississippi (Ammoland) “On demand, App TV is not just the future of television, it is right now.” said Paul Markel host and producer of Student of the Gun TV.  “We knew that on demand TV was where we needed to be. He continued. “We choose Roku first as they are the fastest growing App TV delivery system. Apple TV, Chromecast, Amazon Fire TV and Xbox video will be next.”

(Roku is the #1 App TV player)

Rather than submit their first rate television material to another channel for airing, Student of the Gun developed a dedicated channel. “We are not on a channel, we are the channel.” commented Jarrad Markel, producer and editor of SOTG TV. Also, the Internet delivery system automatically makes the show available internationally.

The attraction of App (Internet) TV players is obvious, for the one time price of the unit itself, as little as $40, you can watch on demand television without a monthly cable or satellite TV bill. The savings add up very quickly. All you need is a reliable Internet connection which the vast majority of all homes in the USA already have and will continue to have.

rokuRoku viewers now have an entire season of SOTG TV at their fingertips for on demand viewing 24 hours a day with more material in the months to come. No more waiting until Tuesday at 9 p.m. Eastern or having to DVR the episodes. Follow the link directly to SOTG TV: SOTG TV on Roku

Being a Student of the Gun is not about being a novice or beginner. Student of the Gun represents a life’s journey of education, enlightenment and the enjoyment of firearms. Each episode will introduce the viewer to new and interesting firearms as well as the latest gear to go with them.

We will travel throughout the United States seeking the advice and expertise of the best firearms trainers available. Sometimes deadly serious, sometimes just for fun, Student of the Gun will always strive to educate and entertain their viewers while offering them an insiders’ look at the worlds of firearms.

I stumbled onto SOTG through ROKU, and I appreciate the facts and plain talk. I can also let my daughter learn without having to listen to coarse language and hateful talk. I consider myself a rifle man having shot since 1965. But the choice of pepper spray opened me up to a whole ‘nother way of thinking. Thanks for doing a couple of shows on OC. Keep up the family friendly education. Thanks!
