Turning 65 in a few weeks but back in the 1960s I competed in the annual Duck & Goose Calling Contest in New Orleans; sponsored by the (now disbanded) New Orleans Sportsman’s League. It was a VERY BIG DEAL !!!

I won the Junior Division four years in a row from 1960 to 1963. The last time I called in competition was the night of November 22, 1963 — President Kennedy was assassinated that morning.
