Pevely, MO -(AmmoLand.com)- Heizer Defense is pleased to announce that it is shipping the new PAK1 “Pocket AK Pistol” in 7.62×39.

The pistol is the next caliber offering in the Heizer Defense Pocket Pistol Family. The PAK1 “Pocket AK Pistols” come standard with Heizer Defense’s patented “Progressive” Porting. This porting naturally reduces muzzle rise and felt recoil; however, with the “progressive” porting, there is very little loss of velocity.

This porting will also be offered on the PAR1 “Pocket AR Pistol” and accessory barrels. Consumers can purchase any Heizer Defense Pistol and now have 2 additional calibers; as well as ported or non-ported barrels to choose from, with even more calibers coming soon.

i think i would be better off getting a 7.62x39mm rifled adapter for one of my other guns. drop the adapter in for example a 12 gauge then drop the rifle cartridge. this handgun would be a last resort situation just like using the adapter. i would bet the shotgun with the adapter would be more accurate and user friendly.

An overpriced one shot joke. Not useful for self defense or hunting.

I would not own this gun. Reason being is there is a similar design in 45 cal and it kicks like a mule !!!! So you can expect the 7.62×39 to be hell on wheels ported or not !!!!!!!!

I have a concern here, given the recent attempted “Green tip” ammo ban.
If I read this correctly, the pistols fire rifle rounds, which are classified by the ATF as “armor piercing” WRT LEO body armor.
Won’t this then legitimize the attempt to ban such ammunition from regular purchase?

I’m not exactly knowledgeable, this is a sincere question.

I have the same concern. Gift to the anti-gunners?

I f you didn’t already know that their has been many AR style pistols that will fire typical rifle rounds then you have really no idea that the green tip ammo was just another government/manufacturer plow to stop ammo availability. Ammo piecing ammo, in either hand gun or rifle, has been illegal, and this single shot hand gun won’t hurt anyone. It’s just the person that is pulling the trigger that you need to worry about.
