Ft Collins, CO –-(Ammoland.com)- In the wake of Friday’s heroic action by US Servicemen in Europe, who are currently getting microphones and camera lenses shoved into their faces by the minute, as well as being invited to appear on all manner of TV talk-shows, along with parents, partners, trainers, neighbors, therapists, high-school teachers, family pets, et al:

Some sage advice for Military, LEO, and all Operators, “famous” or not:

Don’t wait for self-serving, intelligence-insulting “guidance,” nor laughable, sophomoric suggestions printed on a poster.

Be boring, silent, invisible. Maintain an extremely low electronic profile. Maintain a low physical profile. Disappear. Be invisible. Vanish!

Keep your mug out of the papers and off TV.

A highly-skilled Googler in China, Russia, Syria, Iran, who types-in your name, rank, branch, names of family members, etc, and then hits “enter,” should be greeted repeatedly with “…no results found.”

When you are linked-in, link-out, today! Stay “out,” permanently!

This War (… and it is a “shooting war”), we’re currently in will last for the next hundred years, and our despicable enemies consider anyone/everyone to be “fair targets.”

Your home address and phone numbers need to be secrets. Stay off, and out of, all “directories,” “lists,” phone books. Receive mail and packages at a remote mail drop. Assume all phone conversations, and e-mail communication, are being monitored. Watch what you say!

Your home needs electronic security!

Since the 1970s, I’ve been advocating this “stealth existence” for all Operators. Now, it has become critical, for your continued good health and security of family members.

Personal alertness/readiness needs to be a way of life, along with going armed, and continuous personal invisibility.

Serious pistol(s) always at hand. Military rifle always nearby.

Don’t wait. Don’t hesitate, and don’t ask permission. (You don’t need it!)

Critical data has been systematically leaked/hacked at the national level. Intentional or not, makes little difference. Either way, the current Administration obviously doesn’t care a whit, so you better!

    1. I am so damn sick of the “Culture of Fear” I can stand it, and now of all damn places I am finding it more and more here, seriously, everything in life, especially a lot of the really fun things have a risk, like acutally being alive and having a set of balls comes with a risk… Being in the military is one of those best/worst in life things, telling our MILITARY to essentially hide and barricade/hide with their families in their homes, stay off the net, get alarm systems, keep a low rifle that is EVERYTHING that military members should not be doing.. there is NO self respecting Marine or Soldier who would be willing to live like that.. and if there were any like that they dont deserve the uniform they are wearing… Seriously WTF is wrong with the author”? been in America long? HELLO?? anyone home? this “article of advice” is a damn disgrace to everyone who has, and is serving… hide like a worthless scared civilian.. UP YOURS, I would rather die once as a man than live like a coward… and I can speak for the Corps and my sons as well, that is a FACT. And, to the Author, you can find my thoughts on your between my index and ring finger, doubt that Just look up or down (Where ever Chesty is) as see what he says. Editor you better think about what you allowing here.. selling fear only has the interest of sheep.

    2. Wow. Does the author REALLY believe such nonsense or just when he is off his Valium? What is truly disturbing is knowing he owns firearms.

      1. “CK” I have read your posts in many articles. Are you truly this abrasive or just like being a contrarian. The author may sound extreme to you but all you have to do is Google “military families threatened” and you will get many articles from mainstream media outlets reporting that family members are being targetted. Keeping an electronic profile allows anyone to easily find your information. It is bad enough that for a few bucks this information can be gotten. The purpose of this article is that when you buy into the limelight that these serviceman are getting you are now making yourselves targets and potentially those around you. His advice is sound for others, especially in this social media world we live in. Putting yourself out there makes you vulnerable. Google social experiments for predators and you will get a ton of Youtube clips of people who have been found and connected to in chat/IM and have allowed the “pretend” predator to walk right up to their house! Staying silent in this world is good advice. I hope you enjoy your quips….. I wish you a safe and wonderful life….

        1. Amigo, there is a fine line between precaution and paranoia. The author of the article, IMHO, crossed over that line. The truth hurts……..
