I recently purchased a Sig Sauer 1911 Ultra Compact 9mm. I traded my Colt Defender 9mm for this pistol due to the problems which I was having with the Colt Defender feeding carry ammunition. I do not recommend anyone buying a 1911 Compact 9mm that does not have a ramped barrel. Additionally, I have a Springfield EMP 9mm and a Kimber Ultra Aegis II 9mm. Without a doubt, the Sig Sauer 1911 Ultra Compact shoots as accurately as either of the two other pistols, and this pistol is significantly cheaper than either the EMP or Ultra Aegis II. I have a Sig Saur 1911-22 and I love it! I will look for this in my favorite stores, hopefully they will get in stock soon. I missed (or it was not in the article) the MSRP/expected store price. I figure about $650 or so. We will see.
