Benny’s Duck-It List on “Gun It with Benny Spies” Presented by Leupold

Watertown, So. Dak. (Ammoland.Com) Benny Spies, host of Gun It with Benny Spies presented by Leupold, shot his first duck at the ripe age of 12 and hasn’t looked back. Many ducks later, Benny still has a few on his “Duck-It” list that he needs to cross off and the only place he can do that is Puget Sound, Washington. Tune in to see a duck hunter’s dream hunt on Gun It with Benny Spies presented by Leupold on Thursday, October 1 at 9 p.m. ET exclusively on Sportsman Channel.

For a sneak peak of what’s in store for Benny, the Toaster and more, watch here:

“As you get older, they are fewer ‘firsts’ you’ll have. But as a hunter, there’s always a couple more,” said Spies.

And those couple more firsts for him involve two beautiful duck species: the Barrows Goldeneye and the Harlequin – which happens to be Spies’ “dream duck.”

This land-locked duck hunter is out of his element in Washington, so he’s paired up with John and Jason Otto – who happen to be master duck decoy carvers and taxidermists. Day one they go after the Barrows Goldeneye with the perfect set-up of decoys and the hunters hiding along the pier stacks. As ducks come in, Spies’ first shots are a miss. Will he be able to see his dream to completion? Or will his duck-it list continue to haunt him?
