USA ––Ammoland.com)- Willing to try anything to boost failing poll numbers that could give the Democrat presidential nomination to Bernie Sanders or Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton is going whole hog on “gun control,” CNN reported Monday.
Among her demands are the end to all private sales, a repeal of the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act prohibiting nuisance lawsuits against manufacturers and dealers for criminal abuse of firearms, and denying RKBA to people merely accused — as opposed to convicted — of “domestic violence.”
And in order to impose her will, Clinton will go to the Obama playbook, violate separation of powers and issue an executive order “to require that any person attempting to sell a significant number of guns be deemed ‘in the business' of selling firearms … meaning they will fall under background check laws.”
“Legally” classifying individuals as businesses — and then observing all the requirements that go along with that — will require expanding ATF by an order of magnitude. But really, you don't expect anyone dumb enough to support this personification of corruption to be bogged down by mundane things like reality, I trust.
Basically, Clinton is dictating the terms of surrender to American gun owners and presuming they will just roll over and take it, and that she will have the power to go door-to-door and enforce her demands when a critical mass tells her to go pound sand. If a growing “I will not comply” movement has made an unenforceable dilemma for issuers of edicts in Connecticut, New York, and elsewhere, trying to impose the same thing that doesn’t work locally on a national scale seems the definition of insanity writ large.
It also flies in the face of “husband” Bill’s regretful observation to the Cleveland Plain Dealer in 1995 that ““The fight for the assault weapons ban cost 20 members their seats in Congress. The NRA is the reason the Republicans control the House.”
Thanks in large part to the internet providing ways to bypass establishment media “gatekeepers,” gun rights advocates are a lot better informed, connected and coordinated than we were in the Nineties. A growing number is also better armed and committed, with superior preparation and response capabilities manifested in relatively recent phenomena like the Three Percent movement and Oath Keepers.
Fortunately, in her “Hail Mary” desperation, Clinton has thrown a lobbing pass that can be intercepted and run back. If she really wants to talk guns, there are two questions no one in that gatekeeper media will ever ask, but we with the power to bypass them can. Hillary presents herself as a “champion” or women’s rights, and in true Opposite Day “progressive” fashion, that bit of vile fraud can be exposed by the victims of sexual abuse she not only won’t mention, but has actively worked to silence. I’m, of course, referring to the “bimbo eruption,” and particularly to one charge that came out of the seemingly endless list of scandals.
Does Hillary think Juanita Broaddrick should have had a gun when Bill was accused of raping her, and telling her “You better put some ice on that” swollen lip he allegedly gave her when he bit her?
Put more directly, “Is Juanita Broaddrick a liar? Yes or no?”
Who could be against knowing the truth about that, and what could their motive possibly be? The fawning leftist media will never ask her, so it’s basically up to those of us willing to go over, around and under whatever obstacles they put up to voters learning about it. To that end, you can ask her campaign those questions in places where people will see them, including as responses to her anti-gun posts on Facebook and Twitter. And if you’re feeling ambitious, you might even ask a media outlet or two how come they’re not the least bit curious.
Gun owners are under a nonstop and unrelenting attack by those whose goal is a disarmed citizenry under a government monopoly of violence. They’re the ones picking the fight, and those are never won simply by going on the defensive. This is one small way, but one with potential to attract wider attention, to go on the offensive and throw Hillary Clinton’s hypocrisy back in her face. When she lobs her “gun control” ball, why not intercept it and run it back?
