National Nonprofit Sharpens Focus of Access Issues and Delivering Solutions
Salt Lake City, UT -(AmmoLand.com)- Tread Lightly! appointed a new member to its increasingly diverse board of directors and elected its executive committee at an annual meeting recently held in Washington, DC.
Amanda Covington, Vice President of Communications and Government Relations at Vista Outdoor, was voted in as the organization’s newest board member. Vista Outdoor is a leading global designer, manufacturer and marketer in the growing outdoor sports and recreation markets. The company has a portfolio of well-recognized brands in the sportsmen and outdoor products categories, including Bushnell, Federal Premium Ammunition, Savage Arms and Primos.
“Amanda’s experience with Vista Outdoor’s broad spectrum of recreation consumers will be an incredible asset in helping Tread Lightly! continue bridging together the diversity of the outdoor community,” said Tread Lightly!’s executive director, Lori McCullough. “Her skills and expertise will also further strengthen our board’s breadth of talent and background, and we’re looking forward to seeing the positive impact she will make.”

Tread Lightly! also solidified its executive committee with the election of its officers. Kevin P. Lund, Vice Chair Group Product Marketing Manager, Utility Vehicles, Deere & Company was elected as chairman of the board with Jan Rintamaki, Director of Customer Experience, RiderX, with Polaris Industries as vice-chairman. Joel Pedersen, Director of Lands and Policy with the National Wild Turkey Federation and Christine Jourdain, Executive Director of the American Council of Snowmobile Associations were also elected as the Board’s Secretary and Treasurer respectively.
“As we celebrate our 25th anniversary, our enthusiastic leadership continues to steer our efforts to protecting access and opportunities through education, communication and stewardship,” said McCullough. “Our momentum has never been greater.”
