USA –  -(Ammoland.com)- Somewhere, everyday in the USA, 2100+ people use a gun for self defense, to stop a crime or save the lives of themselves or their family.

“We believe that the American public deserve to understand that on the average, guns save 2,191 lives and are used to thwart crimes every day,” says Alan Gottlieb of the Second Amendment Foundation

Most times you won't see these tales on the news as it does not fit the main stream media's story line of “Guns and Gun Owners are Bad“.

This is just one of those stories;

A man entered a Marathon gas station in Cincinnati, Ohio, pulled out a gun and menaced two store employees. One of the employees responded by retrieving a gun and firing at the criminal, striking him and causing him to flee.

Police captured the wounded criminal nearby, and discovered that the weapon he had used inside the store was a pellet gun. (Cincinnati.com, Cincinnati, Ohio, 11/21/15, WCPO, Cincinnati, Ohio, 11/20/15)

    Keep up the good work. When considering “open carry” laws do states ever think about temp. 6 month or one year period of time just to research crime stats. The key to my question is, Do the open carry supporters ever try temporary periods of time for open carry? It seems to me open carry opponenets would find it hard to oppose temporary open carry time periods. (or maybe open carry opponents know that crime will go down which they cannot expose). Any way I am asking for a response from anyone who knows more about my question. Thank you… Read more »
